The eye follows a path and resents interruption.

Cuts, transitions, and camera moves are built along continuous lines so the viewer never has to re-find the thread. A film that flows is not a style preference. It is lower cognitive cost per second of attention.

Every frame decides what is subject and what is field.

Attention is a budget. We spend it on one thing at a time and hold that decision long enough to be understood, whether the frame is a phone screen or the side of a building.
