Two brands, one cut
Social video content for the Wolverine x Red Bull collaboration, pairing Aaron Conway's product photography with high-energy motion design.
Wolverine makes workwear. Red Bull makes speed. A collaboration between the two needed social content that honored both without letting either swallow the other.
The build
The raw material was strong: cinematic product photography by Aaron Conway, the Cincinnati photographer known for making objects look like they matter. Wolverine’s side of the identity lives in that texture, craftsmanship, durability, and workwear culture rendered in still frames.
Backbeat’s job was the other half. The motion design brought Red Bull’s language: fast graphics, high-energy pacing, and bold graphic elements pulled from the way Red Bull moves. The edit ran the two registers against each other deliberately, textured product shots grounding the piece while the motion system drove it forward.
The trick was balance. Neither brand was treated as the guest. The rugged photography and the kinetic graphics were built into one visual strategy, so the result reads as a single collaboration rather than two brand kits fighting over a timeline.
What happened
The content shipped as social video for the collaboration, a compact demonstration that motion design is often a diplomacy problem: two established visual identities, one deliverable, no casualties.
